Update for Trooper/BLD

I haven't updated our boy in a while and since I took some video of him the other day , I thought this would be the perfect time!! You all remember about May of last year when we got a notification that he was in animal control with a broken leg. Turns out it both of the bones were broken and he had to have surgery immediately to help the leg heal. Of course the worst part was when we found out that the injuries were because of someone probably using a bat to his leg, then leaving him to die on the side of the road. Here he was at animal control before we got him out......

Thus began the long process of his leg healing , with two surgeries and his apparatus on for four and a half months. Just to refresh your memory......

But you should see him now.....he runs and jumps with the best of them, so hard to believe with what he's been through!!!!
Just goes to show how resilient dogs are!!! And how they forgive and forget!!!
Have a great evening!!!!

  2. I really want to say a few choice curse words at the people or person who did this but they must truly be some sick person so I'll try to focus instead on the great joy I know you brought to this babies life instead and wish this little love 1 million times of happiness and joy now!! Thank you for helping this baby!!!

    1. Oh...I have more than a few choice words....they should suffer as much as he did!!! But I also try to focus on getting them well and into great forever homes!!! If you are in Sugarland this Saturday, we will be there for a show at Edward Mercer Stadium....would love to finally meet you!!!

  4. I am so happy to hear he is available for adoption. The times I have seen him in the intervening months, he has been such a good sport. He would probably forgive the Neanderthals who hurt him, but instead, he will find peace and happiness in a good home thanks to YOU ALL!

  5. I took BLD to the vet not too long ago for his "booster shot" and he was absolutely a big ball of love! It was one of the sweetest trips ever. He sat in the passenger seat with a big smile on his face and kisses on my hand at every stop light! He stole a little piece of my heart that day and it is so nice to see him laughing and playing. Kudos to everyone that helped in his long, long recovery!
