Rescue

So you guys know I do dog rescue, I not only work with Husky Haven , but in my free time help other rescues dogs. I've also rescued a cat here and there. But there are so many other animals that need help.....this is my story for today.
I got the incredible pleasure to visit my friend Lynne the other day. She and her husband Dave run K-9 Airlift, helping to place dogs in areas where there is not the crazy overpopulation of dogs we have here in Houston. They have many Rotties, all rescues, but they are also able to help other animals. Take a look....

Look at these beautiful horses, they were skin and bones when they took them in. I was so in awe of how fantastic they looked!!!

All these guys too were rescue animals......just showing that all creatures need our help. For me , of course, I can only take the dogs or cats, I don't think my homeowners association would allow a couple of horses in my backyard. But for those of you with a bit of land you can be a savior to any animal. I want to thank Lynne and Dave for all they do for the rescue community , and being good friends!!!!

  2. I am so glad there are people that are capable of taking on large animal rescues! I have always loved horses and goats but, like you, my HOA would frown on them being in my back yard! Pass on my thanks to Lynne and Dave, also. I am grateful to them.

The pictures are terrific. Thanks for letting us know of others fighting for the rescue cause!

  4. Hey Beth, we tried to hunt you down at the 2013 Houston Pet Expo but you were off walking around somewhere and we never did find you :(...My daughter and I did get to pet the babies though and took a pix in front of your booth that will be on Max's blog tomorrow. Really sorry I didn't get to meet you!
