Wanted to talk a bit about our newest baby , Malbec. He was wandering around someone's front yard. He was pretty tired and looked bad. He had scabs all over him and was underweight. I got the
note and sent it to our director....we decided to take him in.

He looked so sad..... |
The lady that had him dropped him off at our vet.....of course he wasn't neutered and he had a horrible case of Demodex mange. We didn't know if he had also been wounded....but it turned out that it was from him scratching at his itchy skin. We brought home.....he was so happy...like a changed dog. He's so sweet now that we are taking care of him....
He is on a lot of meds and we are trying to wash him every week to heal his skin. He doesn't mind the baths so much....but he hates the wait when we wash him with the medicated shampoo....that five minutes standing there takes forever for him!!
He is progressing.....just going to take a while....
Here he is having his bath on Sunday with my friend Elsie.
Keep good thoughts that he heals soon and we can find him a great home!!
Have a wonderful evening!!!!
Oh and you did not mention the sweet, sweet personality! Even though he has got to be in pain with that skin condition, he just wants to get as close as he can to you and let you love on him! He croons and he sings and he talks and he is a big doll baby! He gives great hugs, too. (I'm a little in love with him. Good thing Axel doesn't know about it because he's a jealous boyfriend!)
ReplyDeleteHe is very sweet....but Axel would be super jealous!!!
DeleteAnd lots of thanks to Elsie for bathing him!
ReplyDeleteThe three of us had a fun time.....and didn't even get too wet!!!
DeleteHe got to come in the house for the night because he was still damp and it was suppose to be in the 30 and I thought it was too cold in the garage/boarding room in a crate. He was so scared at first. I don;t think he had ever been in a house before. He was very curious of the big TV. He stayed ina crate in the kitchen area and seemed very comfy. He will have to start coming in more often. Pat
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he wasn't used to it!!!
DeleteAww, thanks for helping this huskerboo!
